Job Summary
The Program Management/Construction Management (PM/CM) business line specializes in the management of design and construction of community infrastructure facilities for education, healthcare, national governments, sports and leisure, justice, cultural venues, and commercial needs. From concept through completion, we provide necessary technical and administrative services to help our clients meet their program objectives. Our professionals serve as an extension of our clients' staff, protecting their interests as our own, and often working within our clients' offices. As an industry leader in PM/CM, we oversee activities ranging from planning, coordination, scheduling and cost control, to design, construction and commissioning.

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Senior Project Manager in Orange, CA for education projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Identify, target, pre-position, capture and operationally oversee PM/CM pursuits with specific focus on the Southern California vertical building market for both public and private sector clients
  • Capture and lead large PMO opportunities as a Program Director for Education clients within Southern California, target new delivery opportunities including P3, IPD, CM@R, and D/B
  • Oversee and lead numerous tasks to include: accounting, program controls, technology, contracts, construction, design review, risk/quality, communications, asset management, closeout, commissioning and warranties   
  • Manage, oversee, and coordinate all aspects of large, complex and/or critical vertical building programs/initiatives including, but not limited to: operations planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring and controlling costs, cash flow, risk, quality, project close-out, qualifying potential business solutions, and operational review of proposals, execution of professional services and construction procurements, internal and external audits
  • Responsible for review of contracts, supervision of labor and subcontractors; planning and scheduling of installations mindful of customers timelines and milestones, review of invoices, and payments
  • Leverages technology to design processes that ensure compliance with CA agency requirements
  • Develop and implement operations and strategies to improve execution and provide additional value
  • Develops policies and procedures relating to customers specific programs and systems
  • Utilizes financial systems to review actual versus estimated cost and to provide timely and accurate financial reports
  • Provides weekly accurate updates across program to West Regional PM/CM Management
  • Identify potential project risks and develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines
  • Evaluates current systems for cost reduction and product improvement for high complex systems
  • Overall responsibility for customer satisfaction on all installed accounts
  • Regularly meets with customers to ensure that we are providing quality installations and meeting their individual needs
  • Conducts follow-up reviews of solutions to verify that desired objectives were accomplished effectively and efficiently

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree plus minimum 8 years of project and client management experience including management of multiple projects of significant scope and complexity with individual project budgets between $5M -$50M
  • 5+ years of business development experience establishing client relationships, pre-positioning, capturing and executing PM/CM services to public and private agency clients with proven track record of sales bookings in excess of $100M
  • Construction and Program Management skills understanding all disciplines during the design, preconstruction, construction and close-out phases
  • Familiar with all aspects of design and construction programs including contracts, accounting, safety, risk and quality management programs
  • Experience with CA Title 24 Code
