The Software Test Team has an opportunity for a Software/Firmware Test Engineer be a member of software testing and/or automation cross functional team in support of Medtronic Diabetes' products. Under general supervision from the Engineering Manager, this individual will serve as a member of the larger software test and development organization with responsibility to execute software test processes and procedures.

A Day in the Life
?Executes software test procedures and interprets/analyzes results to report and communicate software defects. Works under general supervision and the ability to work independently.
?Follows internal standard procedures (SOP/DOP) related to software development and test processes.
?Utilizes end user and product usage scenarios for reference while executing software test procedures.
?Applies basic knowledge of software V&V methods for safety critical, fault tolerant real-time software and embedded software engineering and formal qualification process
?Applies test designs to develop manual/automated test cases
?Applies understanding of test tools to execute assigned tests
?Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
?Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
?Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
?Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
?Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
?Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
?Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and 2 years of professional experience in software development and/or software test
?Masters Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering and 6 months professional experience in software development and/or software test
?Experience in software test development
?Experience in automated software testNice to Have
•Strong analytical, prioritization, organizational and problem solving skills
•Prior experience with software testing
