  • Overview

    As an AV Technician, your core responsibility will be to maximize uptime in over 200 conference rooms, acting as the point person for the helpdesk team and AV vendor coordination. The ideal candidate will also have some familiarity with live event production as this will be needed from time to time. You will be empowered to look for ways to optimize the conference room experience for users, and vendors alike.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain, find and repair reported issues within the AV environment
    • Maintenance and restoration of VC operations.
    • Operations validation against documented VC standards.
    • VC installations, updates and troubleshooting.
    • Inbound support ticket management.
    • Escalation of complex issues to appropriate support teams.
    • Set-up and break down audio-visual equipment for meetings and events, such as, projectors, microphones, speakers, etc.
    • Operate and monitor equipment during meetings, such as sound levels, remote cameras, video playback, and webcasting.
    • Communicate with users regarding requirements for upcoming meetings.
    • Connect Windows and Mac devices to Audio Visual equipment.
    • Instruct users in operation of equipment, if necessary.
    • Scheduling service calls/logistics

    Qualifications

    • Strong technical/troubleshooting skills
    • Experience with AV integration; working knowledge of how basic rooms systems work
    • Experience with video conferencing systems like Chromebox for Meetings
    • Understanding of networking technology, video transmission over network and audio/video signal flow
    • Experience working with Crestron equipment, audio DSPs and Dante microphone systems
    • Comfortable working with Mac OS, Windows, Google Apps, Zendesk
    • Ability to respond to changes in a short time frame
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Familiarity with live productions: soundboards, camera controllers, etc.
    • Knowledge of streaming technologies
    • InfoComm CTS certification
    • In-depth live event production experience
