Job Description

Safely work with minimal supervision on precision machine tools in an industrial environment. Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and evaluate machine malfunctions. Perform repairs, modifications, and overhaul of lathes, mills, multi-axis mill-turn, broaches, precision grinders, numerical control machines. Repair, renew, and/or replace bearings, shafts, gears, and reassemble, and functionally test precision machine tools. Level, lay, scrape, and flake beds and ways to exacting and coordinated tolerances. Fit and scrape bearings; assemble gear trains and fit to exacting tolerances and align spindles, columns, ways, etc. Perform Preventative Maintenance on machines.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Degree, GED or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience with CNC mechanical machine repair or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program
  • Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting machine problems in a production environment
  • Experience with controls, hydraulics and troubleshooting pneumatic systems
  • Experience performing precision alignments and troubleshooting machine mechanical problems
  • Able to work any shift (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
