Stanley Black & Decker is a world-leading provider of tools and storage, commercial electronic security and engineered fastening systems, with unique growth platforms and a track record of sustained profitable growth.  Currently, our Global Tools & Storage Division is searching for a results-driven Account Manager to lead all phases of operations across their stable brands within U.S. markets in San Francisco, CA.

Position Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets and generating sales revenue by servicing our Independent Channel Distribution partners. This role is responsible for understanding a broad range of products, users, applications, and distributor models to effectively determine what products their customers should support and what best fits the needs of our target Contractors within the market.  Understanding and implementing promotional activity, merchandising, training, and rebate management is essential.   

Scope of Responsibilities:
  •  Sale of DEWALT Tools, Accessories, Stanley, Bostitch, Porter Cable, Irwin, Lenox, and Anchor brands to our key IC distributor partners
  • Achieve sales goals based on company and local market goals   
  • Establish and develop key relationships with your distributor partners by supporting all aspect of their business   
  • Provide support to end-users on product training through educational and safety seminars
  • Achieve fiscal responsibility by managing all budgets within reason
  • Daily travel requirement to distributors, jobsites, buying offices, and special events.
  • Up to 50% Local Travel
  • Up to 10% Overnight Travel
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3-5 years experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies
  • Jobsite or construction knowledge preferred
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Proven background of historic sales or marketing success
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Physical Ability to travel daily
