Job Summary
JOB OVERVIEW
UCSF is seeking a Senior Web Developer who will help build a modern web development stack and elevate the digital experience for our community of philanthropic donors, alumni, and friends - a community that generates substantial private support for breakthrough research, lifesaving clinical care, and top-tier public medical and health sciences education.

Working within University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR), one of the top public university fundraising organizations in the country, the Senior Web Developer is part of a dynamic team responsible for digital applications and integrations in support of the goals of UDAR and campus-wide digital fundraising priorities.

Under the supervision of the Advancement Communications, Digital Director, the individual will use advanced applications programming concepts to develop complex database driven web applications and conduct maintenance of web properties within the department. This includes such media as web and database applications, online giving services, content management systems, and electronic communications.

This position will also have a strong role in defining an integration stack that leverages available APIs and web services that connect to a variety of CMS sources, user authentication systems, CRM tools (Salesforce), and other solutions with available API endpoints.

Some properties that the individual will help manage includes public facing websites such as our online giving processing site at makeagift.ucsf.edu, Giving.ucsf.edu, the Campaign web site, and other department Drupal assets. This position may also consult on the development of other campus websites.

UNIVERSITY DEVELOPMENT AND ALUMNI RELATIONS
The UCSF Foundation and the Office of University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) are responsible for fostering and strengthening campus outreach efforts to UCSF constituents and for garnering private support for the campus. In raising private support, UDAR identifies, qualifies, solicits and stewards donors for the schools, medical center, departments and programs on campus; accepts and administers all private gifts to the university through the Regents or the UCSF Foundation; and manages all alumni relations activities, campus support group activities and campus events. UDAR is also responsible for the design and implementation of fundraising campaigns for UCSF.

UDAR's role is to inspire and engage an extraordinary community of philanthropists and alumni, and to build connections between these supporters and the scientists and specialists who are solving the grand challenges in human health. We recruit top fundraising and supporting talent, and empower our people with the tools and resources to do great things.
